A swellegant little tippler with an appropriately glamorous name, this classic 1930's cocktail calls to mind the heroics of aviation pioneers like Howard Hughes and Amelia Earhart.

  • Makes one cocktail.



  1. Combine the first three ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice.
  2. Shake until well chilled, then strain into a cocktail glass.
  3. Drizzle the crème de violette into the glass and garnish with a twist of lemon.
