Sparkling julep

Reputedly named for writer Daedalus Howell, the Daedalian is a sparkling wine-based cocktail first served at The Girl and the Fig, a restaurant in Sonoma, CA, where Howell was a newspaper columnist.

The foundation of the cocktail is a sparkling Sonoma wine, such as Gloria Ferrer Winery's Blanc de Noir, to which is added an elderflower liqueur, such as St. Germain and a sprig of mint.
